What to Wear

  • Colour coordinate tones but don’t all wear the exact same colour. Solid colors work well.
  • Warm, earthy and neutral tones are great.
  • However wear what makes you feel comfortable (clothing that allows for movement).
  • Avoid pictures, bold patterns and logos on your clothing.
  • Embrace layers and textures as they add more depth & detail.
  • Have fun, relax & enjoy yourself.

*See below some color palettes that work well together. Mix it up!

LITTLE PEOPLE

  • Bring plenty to drink and lots of small snacks (nothing too messy that will mark their clothing).

  • If bringing treats, it's best not to tell your kids before the session; wait until they start getting tired & irritable during the session before you pull out the lollies card!

  • For beach sessions, pack a towel and wipes for sandy faces, hands and feet. I recommend a change of clothes, even if it's just for your ride home.

Children are unpredictable. Family shoots can feel chaotic and full of energy but please don't apologise if this is how your session plays out. Kids will be kids.

Some parents get frustrated because their children aren't doing exactly as they ask, but it is often those spontaneous & natural moments that make for the best shots.
